The A level Law curriculum seeks to create effective and skilful Law students regardless of prior knowledge,understanding or exposure to the subject. This is done through engaging, challenging and supportiveteachers who, through their passion for the subject, strive to ensure the very best experiences in teachingand learning for all learners. The curriculum is ambitious in exposing students to not only the curriculum, but toreal-world examples and cases.

Across the two-year programme, you will study a broad range of Criminal, Tort, and Contract Law, coveringtopics including murder, manslaughter, Assault, Theft, negligence, liabilities, and defences. You’ll take adeep and critical look at the nature of law and the English legal system, considering ideas of morality, justice,and the law-making process.

SM6 Law students have progressed to study at some of the most prestigious universities and thereafter pursuesuccessful legal careers as well as students securing legal apprenticeships and careers in other linked areassuch as the Police.
