Course Summary
Working as a painter and decorator offers reliable employment across new builds, commercial properties and domestic home improvement. This Level 1 Painting and Decorating Study Programme is designed for you if you’re interested in developing practical skills within the construction industry.
You’ll learn core paint application techniques using brushes and rollers to achieve a high-quality finish, alongside understanding working platforms and safe working at height. Learning is hands-on and industry-focused, helping you develop confidence in workshop and real work environments.
You’ll also gain valuable work experience through involvement in local community projects, including restoring and redecorating properties. Alongside your technical training, you’ll improve your maths and English skills and build employability skills to prepare you for progression into work or further study.
