This programme is delivered through an even mix of classroom-based learning and hands-on workshop practice. Around half of your time will be spent developing core knowledge in electrical science, health and safety, and installation theory. The remaining 50% takes place in our specialist electrical workshops, where you will apply your learning through practical tasks such as basic wiring, circuit construction, and installation methods. This balanced approach ensures you build both the understanding and practical competence needed for progression to further training or an apprenticeship

4 x GCSEs at grade 2(E) or above, including English.

Successful completion of this course provides a strong foundation for your next steps in the electrical industry. Many people progress on to further study at Level 2, where you will continue to develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for employment. Alternatively, you may choose to move into an electrical apprenticeship, allowing you to earn while you learn and gain hands-on experience with an employer. Both progression routes support your journey towards becoming a fully qualified electrician.
