Course Summary

This programme is your gateway to a rewarding, people-focused career. You’ll gain a real understanding of what it’s like to work in healthcare, social care, and early years settings, discovering the roles, responsibilities, and expectations that professionals face every day.

Course Details

Gain hands-on experience throughout your studies in two dedicated practical learning wards.
Develop and practise real, industry-relevant skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Carry out practical tasks such as taking blood pressure readings, making beds, and learning basic patient care techniques.
Apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, building confidence and competence before working with real patients.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course is a year-long and includes a mix of classroom-based activities, practical session, group work. You will be assessed in lots of different way for example, poster, work products, blogs. You will receive prompt feedback both verbally and written from your tutor, to help you develop your academic skills and also the skills needed to work with the public.

4 x GCSEs at grade 2(E) or above, including English
