Level 3 in Welding Skills (Advanced)

The Level 3 Advanced Welding Skills course is designed to build on your existing knowledge and take your welding ability to a professional, industry-ready level. With a strong focus on practical learning, you’ll develop advanced techniques and gain experience working on complex welding and fabrication tasks.

Training takes place in a fully equipped workshop, where you’ll refine your skills across key welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and MMA. You’ll also develop a deeper understanding of quality standards, project work, and industry practices. This course prepares you for skilled employment, apprenticeships, or progression into specialist areas within the engineering sector.

This qualification is 80% practical and 20% theory based. This course is delivered through intensive practical workshop sessions supported by classroom-based theory. The programme combines technical training, project work, and assessment, helping you develop precision, consistency, and confidence in a professional fabrication environment.

4 x GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above, including Maths and English
