On this programme, you’ll combine practical workshop training with essential classroom learning to help you master key construction skills. You’ll spend most of your time developing hands-on experience, working on real-life projects in our fully equipped workshops. Throughout your studies, you’ll cover topics such as health, safety, and welfare in construction, the principles of building construction and communication, constructing solid and cavity walls, setting out masonry structures, and efficient working practices and problem-solving. Your progress will be assessed through a combination of practical tasks, written assignments, and online tests, ensuring you develop both your technical ability and understanding of the trade. By the end of the programme, you’ll have the skills, confidence, and knowledge to progress onto Level 3 study or move into an apprenticeship in the construction industry, ready to take the next step in your career.
