In the workshop, you will apply this theory directly through practical activities in hand fitting, machining, maintenance, electrical circuits, and measurement techniques. The structure of the course has been designed to create strong symmetry between theory and practice- what you learn in the classroom is immediately reinforced through real engineering tasks, and workshop experience helps deepen your understanding of theoretical concepts.

Assessment is delivered through two online exams, practical observations, and written assignments, all of which reflect the combined importance of knowledge and hands on competence. This balanced approach ensures you develop into a confident, work-ready engineering technician prepared for Level 3 study or an engineering apprenticeship.
