Course Summary
This course will allow you to study history over a period of at least 200 years. It will enable you to broaden your historical knowledge and strengthen your skills of evaluation and interpretation. You will examine a wide range of historical sources and historians interpretations allowing you to reach your own informed conclusions. You will have the opportunity to take part in visits to places of historical significance to further broaden your understanding.
Course Details
Within this course you will study a range of historical periods and people including:
• Henry VII
• Henry VIII
• International relations during the Cold War
• Civil Rights
How will it be delivered and assessed?
There will be a variety of teaching styles in lessons ranging from group work to individual research.
Entry requirements
5 GCSEs at 4 or above including: English Language and Mathematics at 4 or above.
Course availability is at the discretion of the Sixth Form Team.
