Level 3 Nail Technology

Nail enhancements are one of the best methods of creating and enhancing the natural nail. This course is based in our specialist on-site salon, where you will be instructed by experienced award winning tutors.

Learning through a mixture of both practical and theory-based activities you will gain the knowledge on how to design, apply, maintain and remove nail extensions. For this course you will need to purchase a uniform and kit from the college supplier.

• Learn to apply and maintain nail enhancements using liquid and powder, UV gel, and airbrush designs.
• Customer Service: Develop excellent customer service skills and learn to communicate effectively with clients.
• You will study Health and Safety: Understand the importance of health and safety practices in a salon environment.
• Nail Art: Gain skills in advanced nail art techniques, including gel, liquid, powder, and powder airbrush designs.
• Business Management: Learn about managing a nail salon, setting professional boundaries, and managing expectations.
• An opportunity to use the knowledge, understanding and skills developed throughout the qualification to produce a business plan giving them the tools they need to set up in business or work for an employer.

Work experience - Work experience is a mandatory element of this programme. You will work alongside an employability and placement advisor to source work experience opportunities and prepare you for industry experience related to your programme of study and overall career goals.

4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths.

After completing level 2 Nails or L2 beauty if you have got grade 4s in M&E you can progress onto level 3 Nails. After level 3 you will have the skills to set up your own business or work in a salon.
