Course Summary
You will study a range of subjects such as design, animation, photography, fine art, painting, printmaking, illustration and storyboard design.
Course Details
This course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to help you pick what you’d like to specialise in for your future career.
What you will learn:
- Drawing
- Painting
- Ceramics
- Sculpting
- 2D/3D design
- Textiles
You will be assessed using synoptic assessment, this requires learners to apply learning from across the qualification to the completion of defined vocational tasks. These qualifications have been designed to promote iterative and integrated assessment through learning and teaching modules, providing a strong basis for synoptic assessment.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Personalised work experience opportunities are available in art galleries, community art groups, design companies and printers and this will form part of your full time study programme.
Trips, visits & guest speakers - relevant trips may be offered throughout the duration of your course.
Entry requirements
Level 3 – 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths
Progression from Level 2 to 3 would also require a pass at the lower-level vocational course.
