Explore real cybersecurity tools used to detect and prevent attacks and build and configure your own network setups. What you will learn:
The qualification has been developed in consultation with employers in the IT sector. This means that it will enable learners to develop the skills and behaviours that give them the best opportunity to be successful in applying for work. All the content of the qualification is mandatory and relates directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers in the IT sector. The areas you will cover include:
- Understanding IT network features and functions, common practices in network security,
- and the function and features of the main network appliances
- Setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems
- IT service solutions and the issues encountered in IT solutions in an organisation
- Use of ethical hacking techniques to test the security of a network
- Creating and maintaining a network

3 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, preferably including either English or Maths
