Course Summary
Our NEETs program is designed to be a ‘stepping-stone’ back into education. The course provides an opportunity to explore the skills and qualifications needed to gain employment or further training in different vocational areas whilst developing the knowledge needed to take your first steps towards this.
Course Details
Through a range of activities, we will help you build your confidence, develop communication skills, work on resilience and coping strategies to make progression in education more manageable and achievable. Learners may have the opportunity to do taster sessions in vocational areas of interest to get a feel of what working in the industry will be like and help them decide on progression routes.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will work towards a Kings Trust qualification, and we have start dates throughout the year, the first being in November. You will also study Communication and Problem-solving skills with the opportunity to be entered into GCSE or Functional skills exams for those who show the skills and motivation, other learners will use these sessions to build skills ready for entry into exams as you progress through college.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements.
Your next steps...
The course is designed to help learners explore progression options, understand entry requirements and the different routes to gaining these as well as working on the social and emotional skills needed to be successful in further study or employment.
