Course Summary

Law raises some hard-to-solve problems in the search for a just solution, but it is great fun to study' Lady Hale - First Female Justice and President of the US Supreme Court

The BTEC Applied Law curriculum seeks to create effective and skilful Law students regardless of prior knowledge,understanding or exposure to the subject. This is done through engaging, challenging and supportive teaching. Ourteaching staff, through their passion for the subject, strive to ensure the very best experiences in teaching and learningfor all learners. The curriculum is ambitious in exposing students to real-world examples with a practical approach tolearning.

Course Details

The course comprises content delivered in units, including the following:
Dispute solving in Civil Law
Aspects of Criminal Law and the Legal System
Aspects of Tort Law
Applying the Criminal Law

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of external assessments and internal coursework assignments which you willcomplete independently using the subject knowledge and skills you will develop as you progress through the course.

Entry requirements

You will need to meet our general entry requirements for Level 3 study, which is 5 GCSE passes including English.
