Course Summary
The Level 3 (3 A-Levels) National Extended Diploma in Fashion and Textiles is designed for students who have a keen interest in art, design and textiles and are looking to develop their skills and understanding of this subject. Studying at the hub of our East Riding campus in Beverley will provide you with the space to work in our fantastic studio facilities that will assist in the development of your industry work. You will be required to undertake numerous study trips and exhibition visits that will underpin your project work and enhance a broader range of subject knowledge for your specialism.
This course has a multidisciplinary approach so will cover a broad range of topics and workshops that will better prepare you for your chosen specialism for enrolling onto our degree programmes or going straight into the fashion industry.

How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed in a variety of ways, including written assignments, work-based assignments, work experience, practical assessment, portfolio development and formal presentations.
Whilst studying on the level 3 fashion programme, students will also have the opportunity to gain first hand industry experience working for The East Riding College Sewing Room which is an inhouse alterations service at the College. Here students will learn and take part in altering a broad range of garments and working with customers to gain further experience alongside their studies.
Entry requirements
Level 3 – 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths
