Construction - Part-time Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) - Site Carpentry

This Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) qualification is suitable for those who are employed working as a site carpenter.

This qualification enables you, to recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding as well as demonstrate your competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of a site carpenter.

You will complete:

Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace

Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace

Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace

This qualification is work place based with no requirement to attend college.

You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area (Recommended Qualification Structure (RQS) for Wood Occupations (Construction) Level 2).

You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified lecturer/assessor who will work with you and help you complete the qualification.

You will be required to produce a Portfolio of Evidence showing how you have met the performance and knowledge criteria for each unit required within the qualification, as directed by your lecturer/assessor.

There are no formal entry requirements to take this Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction) qualification. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.

However, where a Level 1 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations has not been achieved we would recommend this be taken prior to enrolment on this programme.
