The mandatory units studied are:
- Group Performance Workshop
- Developing Skills and Techniques for Performance
Three additional units are also studied from the following options:
- Healthy Dancer
- Choreography for Live Performance
- Improvisation
- Movement in Performance
- Physical Theatre Techniques
- Contemporary Dance Technique
- Street Dance Technique
- Classical Ballet Technique
- Tap dance Technique
- Jazz Dance Technique

How will it be delivered and assessed?
Unit assessment is completed as follows:
- Group Performance Workshop – External assessment (33% of qualification)
- Developing Skills and Techniques for Performance – Internal assessment
- Additional three units – Internal assessment
External assessment styles:
- Set tasks – you will complete the assessment during a defined window and demonstrate understanding through completion of a vocational task
- Performance – you will prepare for assessment over an extended window and demonstrate skills that generate some non-written evidence.
Internal assessment styles:
Most of the course units are internally assessed and these will be completed in a variety of ways. You could be given opportunities to:
- Demonstrate practical and technical skills using appropriate processes
- Complete realistic tasks to meet specific briefs or particular purposes
- Write up the findings of your own research
- Use case studies to explore complex or unfamiliar situations
- Carry out projects for which you have choice over the direction and outcomes.
