Course Details
Choices College is a Supported Internship for young people aged 16-25 with an ECHP. While on the course, students will complete 3 x 12 weeks work experience placements supported by a workplace mentor and the college coordinator. There is also a day in college, working on maths & English and employability skills. In the classroom students will also develop their job search and interview skills and build their CV. Students will gain a qualification in Employability Skills and maths & English if they pass the exams
How will it be delivered and assessed?
The course is delivered with the young people mainly in the workplace, gaining hands on experience along with one day in the classroom. The Employability Skills is assessed through portfolio work. The maths and English through either portfolio or exams, depending on skills
Entry requirements
A current ECHP, aged between 16 – 25. Young people need to have the ability and the desire to work as the transition will hopefully be into paid employment
