About us
Choosing where to study after your GCSEs is a really big decision and at South Hunsley Sixth Form, we know just how important these next couple of years are for you so we’ll do everything we can to help you achieve your ambitions. We can offer you a fun and enjoyable sixth form experience with a variety of subjects, outstanding teaching, great facilities, plenty of work opportunities and lots of enrichment and social activities.
We are part of the Humber Virtual Careers Fair, why not check out our stand to learn even more about us? - https://humbercareers.co.uk/exhibition/south-hunsley-sixth-form-college/
What makes us different?
You will have loads to do in the sixth form – it’s not all work, work, work! Trips to New York, Germany and Iceland are all included in our sixth form calendar plus there are also plenty of theatre trips, art exhibitions and university visits for you to take part in. These often link to your studies, but also allow you to broaden your horizons and share new experiences with your friends.
Transport
The fare for a single journey to our sixth form is only 79p whether you are travelling from one of the nearby villages or the surrounding areas.
We run a number of bus routes across East Riding and we heavily subsidise sixth form transport to make your journey affordable. To take advantage of these rates you need to buy either a half termly bus pass or bus tickets from our finance office. What you need depends on the bus service route you take and you can find out more information on our website.
Don’t forget to buy your tickets in advance, if you try and purchase tickets on the bus they will be significantly higher. For more information click here https://southhunsley.org.uk/sixth-form/getting-to-sixth-form/
Additional information
Applications should be submitted by the end of December 2023 and after this date we start to assign students to courses and organise timetables. We will accept late applications right up until the start of September, but you may find that there is less choice available if subjects are already full.
