The Apprenticeship

The Apprenticeship offers a young person a fantastic way to start their career. Not only does if provide them with an excellent job, it enables them to develop key business skills needed by employers. Add to this a good wage and a nationally recognised qualification and you have one of the most successful programmes offered to young people over many years. If you would like to work in an office, we can help you develop your career in areas like customer service, accountancy and administration. 

We currently work with over 100 employers and the company has developed a reputation for high achievement rates through the delivery of quality training in a warm and welcoming, yet business like environment.

Our head office is based in Hull. However, we also provide the same services from our other two centres in Scunthorpe and Grimsby. 

We offer training from Level 1 through to Level 5 and work hard to deliver the skills and job opportunities necessary to enable learners to achieve their own personal goals, whilst serving the local business community. 

The Apprenticeship gives learners the opportunity to work in different areas including, administration, accountancy, customer service and management. Whereas, the Pre-Apprenticeship is designed for young people who may need some extra support before they become an Apprentice.

At McArthur Dean Training we offer learners advice and guidance throughout their programme and also one to one support if needed. We all support our learners from recruitment through to completion of their Apprenticeships/Pre Apprenticeships to ensure they have an excellent experience in there learner journey. You will be assigned to a member of staff who will act as your tutor, assessor and mentor throughout the programme - both in your training and with your employment.

A key objective of the company is to provide each learner with the advice and guidance necessary to develop their own potential within a safe environment, in which no individual is unfairly disadvantaged. Therefore, every effort is made to create a culture in which learning and the development of skills are highly valued by both individuals and businesses.

In essence, each learner is encouraged to progress as much and as far as they want to.

One of the most important parts of being an Apprentice is the job and here at McArthur Dean we have lots of them! We deal with over one hundred employers who are constantly on the lookout for young talent to employ through the Apprenticeship programme. All of our training centres are on local bus routes and are close to the bus and railway stations.  There are also car parks nearby should you wish to travel by car.  When we match you to an employer, we take into account the bus routes to ensure you can get to your place of work easily.

For those learners who are not quite ready for an Apprenticeship yet, we offer the Step Up! programme. The Step Up! programme offers the perfect route to the Apprenticeship for those young people needing some extra support. You may be looking to start your career after school or college but lack the work experience or the right skills or qualifications. If this is the case, the Step Up! programme could be right for you. You will be offered a work placement and you may be eligible for a weekly bursary whilst on the programme.
