About us

The Consortium Sixth Form College works together across four campuses at Cottingham, Hessle, Holderness and Wolfreton to provide a vibrant and successful community, supporting students in achieving their ambitions.

Student support

You will become part of a tutor group and your tutor will be there to help you settle into a different way of working and a different culture, review your progress regularly and offer support and guidance as you need it. They will link you to the most experienced teachers or careers specialists as and when you need them. Your tutor will have regular meetings with you to discuss any concerns but also identify any academic or careers support if needed.

Your personal well-being will also be supported throughout your time with us. As part of The Consortium Academy Trust, each campus has access to a Trust Mental Health Support Worker who can provide one-to-one health and well-being support.

What makes us different?

Courses
We have over 40 course options to choose from. This broad range of courses includes both A-Levels and vocational subjects to match student interest, ability and ambitions.

Campus Life
Each of our four campuses has a variety of dedicated sixth form areas for you to utilise.  Facilities on offer include:
• Specialist academic facilities and resources
• Well-equipped study areas with computers and laptops
• Social space with comfortable seating and work areas
• Café areas serving that all important food, glorious food!
• Outdoor seating areas for summer study (weather permitting!) or relaxation time

Throughout the year, all four campuses are a hive of social activity. The Student Council is actively involved in this, developing new ideas and supporting the management and leadership of the sixth form. You too can play an active part by becoming involved, planning, and organising fun events and activities for everyone to get stuck into.

Whether it’s a themed charity fundraising day, a BBQ or that all important final year prom, you can be sure that you’ll want to be a part of something that’s going on! Students can also take on the student ambassador role supporting subject areas and events such as open evenings.

Enrichment

Having a great set of academic qualifications is a very small part of what makes a person shine. We offer a variety of enrichment opportunities in addition to your regular studies. From trips and visits, work experience, sport, and volunteering there are so many options open to you. We also offer enrichment courses including Financial Studies, Emergency First Aid, Food Safety, British Sign Language and Team Leading. For future medics, teachers, and lawyers we have
