About us

Welcome to Bay Learning Academy. We are a nurturing and inclusive education provider for 14-19 year olds.

We offer part-time placements that can complement a learner's mainstream school/college education or as part of an independent pathway.

Placements can combine any of the following qualifications:

Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills English and Maths
BTEC Applied Science
BTEC Health & Social Care
BTEC Hospitality & Tourism
BTEC Art & Design
BTEC Caring for Children
Level 1 Employability

We also offer Remote Learning for young carers, EHE learners or for mainstream inclusion solutions.

Student support

Learners have continual access to our Student Welfare Officer who can offer support and guidance throughout the school day. Staff and learners, parents and carers, schools and external agencies all work together to support our learners through their education at Bay.

What makes us different?

We are compassionate and trauma-informed. Our flexible and responsive curriculum, warm and safe environment is designed to help learners feel that they belong.

Our learner to staff ratio is 3:1 and we have no more than 17 learners onsite at any one time.

Transport

Bay Learning Academy is located off Anlaby Road for all bus routes and is only a 7 minute walk from Hull Paragon Interchange Station for all Northern train services, Stagecoach and East Yorkshire buses.

Additional information

Learners also study Preparation to Adulthood which includes PSHE and Careers Education. Learners also enjoy a range of sports activities, arts and crafts or cooking in our daily enrichment activities.
