About us

Welcome to Bay Learning Academy. We are a nurturing and inclusive education provider for 14-19 year olds.

We offer part-time placements that can complement a learner's mainstream school/college education or as part of an independent pathway.

Placements can combine any of the following qualifications:

Level 1 / 2 Functional Skills English and Maths
Level 1 Applied Science
Level 1 Health & Social Care
Level 1 Hospitality & Tourism
Level 1 / 2 Employability

We also offer Remote Learning for young carers, EHE learners or for mainstream inclusion solutions.

Student support

The positive relationships we build with parents & carers, schools and external agencies allows us to have a big impact on the support we offer to our learners. Working together; with the ultimate purpose of demonstrating to the young person that we care.

What makes us different?

We are compassionate and trauma-informed. Our flexible and responsive curriculum, warm and safe environment is designed to help learners feel that they belong and are cared for.

Our learner to staff ratio is 3:1 and we have no more than 17 learners onsite at any one time.

Transport

Bay Learning Academy is located a 7 minute walk from Hull Paragon Interchange Station for all Northern train services, Stagecoach and East Yorkshire buses.

Additional information

Continued and future learning opportunities beyond Bay Learning Academy, whether that's Apprenticeships, Study Programmes or Further Education is integrated into our Preparation for Adulthood curriculum. Including access to an independent Level 6 qualified careers officer who supports and mentors their next transition for added sustainability.
