Scarborough Sixth Form College

At Scarborough Sixth Form College our students are the driving force behind everything we do. We have around 1000 students studying on our modern and spacious campus.

We want you to enjoy your time at college by study subjects which challenge you, increase your depth of knowledge, and prepare you well for the future. During your time at S6F you will move towards independence in a supportive environment and strengthen your resilience through enrichment activities and more.

All students are allocated a Guidance Support Tutor who will monitor your wellbeing and development throughout your time at college. They will offer you regular reviews with guided support for study skills and career progression, and will help you with job or university applications.

We are one of the top colleges in the area for student progress and results. With us you can mix and match nearly any combination of courses to create your perfect study programme. We also offer sports academies in football, rugby, netball, basketball, golf and cricket which offer you professional coaching alongside your courses. For those of you who love performing, we offer a performance academy where students can take LAMDA qualifications alongside A Level Drama.

We do not want travel to be a barrier to you taking advantage of the many opportunities the College has to offer and have a number of bus services to assist run by both the College and NYCC. We also subsidise bus transport costs and have a travel scholarship offering free travel to students living out of the area who meet the requirements. College isn't just about studying, it's also about the experience! The S6F Student Union organise activities and events throughout the year to keep you entertained and support local charities and national causes.

There is a strong community feel, and a friendly and comfortable atmosphere around college. The Student Union hold regular open mics, bake sales, fundraisers and other events as well as trips to places such as Hallowscream and Flamingoland.
