About us
The College has two main campuses one in Beverley and one in Bridlington with a smaller site in Hull. Our newest campus is in Beverley and is within the lively Flemingate shopping and leisure development. The campus is packed with the latest in teaching and learning technology. Students learn in real life commercial environments like our Elwell's restaurant and Inspire hair and beauty salon. Our Bridlington campus is a modern purpose-built learning environment, which houses specialist Mechatronics Centre and our Clinical Skills Centre. It is also home to Archers restaurant and another Inspire hair and beauty salon.
At East Riding College our aim is to help you develop skills you'll need for employment or studying at University. Our exceptional tutors are often industry experts who have 'been there and done it' . They can help you develop the technical and professional skills you'll need to take you further.
There is a wide range of full-time courses on offer from Level 1 through to Level 7 (Higher Education degree level), Apprenticeships and part-time courses for adults.
Student support
At East Riding College we have a friendly, qualified support team ready to help you every step of the way. Our advisors can guide you through course options, help with applications, offer careers advice and support you in planning what comes next. Support is available in person at all campuses as well as through virtual appointments.
We are committed to helping all learners succeed and provide specialist support for students with additional needs or disabilities. Support is tailored to individual needs to help you feel confident and able to achieve your full potential.
Support extends beyond the classroom. Help with childcare costs may be available and the College works with a range of local nurseries and registered childminders to support students with family responsibilities.
Every full-time student has a personal tutor or Success Coach who meets with them regularly to review progress, set targets and ensure they stay on track to successfully complete their programme and progress into their chosen career or next level of study.
Students also have access to wellbeing, safeguarding and counselling support, with confidential services available to help support mental health and overall wellbeing throughout their time at college.
What makes us different?
Our focus on real-world learning at every level. Whether you’re studying a vocational course, T Level or apprenticeship at 16–18, or progressing into higher education, you’ll learn in modern, specialist facilities designed to reflect industry standards. Our courses are built around hands-on experience, helping you develop practical skills, confidence and the knowledge employers are looking for, so you’re ready for whatever comes next.
Transport
Students aged 16 to 18 (and those with an EHCP, or learners over 19 continuing a course they started when they were 18) may be eligible for free travel to college if they live more than two miles from the nearest campus that delivers their course. To benefit from this free travel, you need to submit an application and have it assessed by the College.
Our campuses in Beverley, Bridlington and Hull are all accessible by bus, rail and car, and the College runs dedicated student bus services to help get you to and from classes. You can also use local public bus services once your bus pass has been approved, with no upfront costs for eligible students.
