Course Summary

Hull Libraries provide knowledge, information and support for local people and from venues across the city and remotely, they deliver a variety of activities and events for individuals and families, including;

  • Access to a wide variety of knowledge and information resources
  • Health and wellbeing information, resources and signposting
  • Free internet / support to use a computer
  • Makerspace - minimal cost access to a creative space with knowledgeable staff to advise, guide ad signpost as appropriate.
  • Family friendly activities galore.

The Business & IP centre delivers quality support and guidance to anyone running a business or wishing to start a business including:

Business support for local business owners, entrepreneurs, and those exploring self-employment

  • Access to research tools, including market research databases
  • Networking Coffee mornings
  • Business Lounge facilities – space to Dream. Plan. Grow. Membership fees apply
  • Expert Business Clinics and virtual workshops

Course Details

We can offer fully funded bespoke support to help people looking to start a business and business owners looking to grow the ‘Community Led Local Development’ Fund (CLLD).

12 hours support within a timescale to suit the individual's needs, immediate starts and a rolling programme of support for potential entrepreneurs (pre starts not registered with HMRC), Enterprise support (those registered with HMRC) currently virtual business support and one 2 one telephone meetings, includes;

  • Assessment of needs
  • Programme of workshops and one to one support
  • Supported networking activities
  • Trained staff to coach and guide people to relevant resources and help to use them
  • Free resources to help develop your idea and your business
  • Signposting and handholding to access relevant support  beyond the project
  • Access to all BIPC services including virtual networking events, variety of online interactive workshops, including British Library and BIPC National Network Webinars to name a few.

In addition to the above there is access to specialist business resources, including Market Research, and Company Databases and an opportunity to listen to or share experiences with other businesses - this a fantastic opportunity for eligible businesses.
