Course Summary
The course will introduce you to the theories and methods of Psychology. It offers you the opportunity to look at someof the explanations psychologists provide in trying to understand humans and their interactions with the world. You’lldevelop your psychological skills and knowledge, through studying a variety of psychological research andconcepts and applying them to real world situations. Whether finding out how our social environment influences ourbehaviour, or the influence of biology on our actions, Psychology will spark an interest and enquiry for all.

Entry requirements
You will need to meet our general entry requirements for Level 3 study, which is 5 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above, including English.

The obvious progression from studying BTEC Psychology is continuation at degree level. However, the course also offersthe development of wider employability skills which will assist in most professions. The unit Criminal & Forensic Psychology isparticularly relevant to a career in the Police or Legal field. Health psychology will provide a good understanding
of health care and clinical practices.
