Criminology is an incredibly interesting course, it draws on disciplines of law, sociology and psychology. We lookat answering some of the most important questions we have in society, can criminals be reformed? Does ourprison system work? Why do individuals commit crime? All SM6 Criminology teachers are senior examiners for theexam board, meaning you are in expert hands.

You will need to meet our general entry requirements for Level 3 study, which is 5 GCSE passes including English.

Many of our students go on to work in Humberside Police and HMP Humber, however, this course will allow you togo into social work and any aspect of the criminal justice system. Within the local area of Hull the police, prisonand probation service offer a wide range of apprenticeships. University study is definitely an option wherestudents can study forensic psychology or science, law, criminology and psychology.
