Course Summary
Course Details
You will take on the roles of people who work in the media such as producer, director, editor and camera operator, and learn to use a full range of equipment such as cameras, lighting and the green screen. You will also learn how to research a production, create a storyboard and plan a production. In this course the emphasis is on learning to work in a professional way, and you will work both by yourself and with other students.
Units will cover a wide range of media and techniques such as those listed below:
- Film Editing Techniques
- Single Camera Productions
- Lighting Techniques
On the Diploma course you will also cover specialised skills such as:
- Storyboarding
- Scriptwriting
- Sound recording
How will it be delivered and assessed?
This course is assessed through a combination of coursework and externally assessed assignments.
Entry requirements
You will need to meet the Level 3 Applied General entry requirements of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 including English Language and/or Maths.
