Course Summary
Our performing arts courses are designed to help you initially develop your skills in all disciplines as that is what the industry wants! We start by achieving a good grounding in all areas of performing arts and allow you to develop and refine your skills in your chosen specialism(s) when you progress to the 2nd year of level 3.
Course Details
On our performing arts programmes you will have plenty of opportunities to perform – both live in theatre and to a camera in TV & Film work. Performing Arts offers a broad exploration of different disciplines like acting, dance, and music. This course aims to develop your creative abilities, performance skills, and knowledge of the industry.
What you will learn on Level 1:
- Explore and develop your creativity by engaging in activities that enhance your self-confidence and creativity
- Gain insights into potential career demands and opportunities within the performing arts sector
- Develop your skills in acting, singing, dancing, musical theatre, and production assessment
- Compile a portfolio of your work throughout the course
Trips, visits & guest speakers - Opportunities to work and perform in a Theatre production, Great work readiness, communication and resilience, which will give you the skills to be able to progress onto the next level.
Entry requirements
3 GCSEs at grade 2 or above
Progression from Level 1 to 2 and from Level 2 to 3 would also require a pass at the lower-level vocational course
