Course Details

With delivery from specialist staff in our outstanding workshops you will gain an understanding of and a variety of practical skills.

The qualification covers the following knowledge and skills:

• Plumbing installations

• Repair and maintenance of plumbing systems

• Above ground drainage

• Pipework (copper, plastic, low carbon steel)

• Plumbing science

• Structure of the construction industry

• Site preparation in the construction industry

During this course, you'll be assessed by online and practical assessments.


Health and safety is paramount in the construction industry, and this will be reinforced throughout the course. Vocational core skills of English and Maths will be embedded in the programme along with specialist delivery to enable learners to work towards GCSE grade 4.

You will also gain valuable work experience while on the and undertake work on real life projects in the city.
