The L3 ICT Support Technician study programme is for those learners who have an interest in computing with a focus on the technical aspects of software and hardware and an interest in providing technical support.

Course Details

The L3 ICT Support Technician study programme is for those learners who have an interest in computing with a focus on the technical aspects of software and hardware and an interest in providing technical support. It is a vocational programme that provides you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in a real professional environment. You’ll attend a work placement throughout the course and will also work providing technical support to the public through the College’s on-site technical support shop, PC Planet. You’ll be working with ICT hardware, equipment, software installation and upgrades. You’ll test systems and diagnose technical faults as well as managing software and services. This course leads into a Higher Apprenticeship in IT or into degree level studies. You can become an IT support technician, run desktop support, or become a network support technician.
