Course Summary
This course gives level 2 students a basic introduction to the core principles and issues within Health and Social Care provision. Additionally, it will help students to achieve a good level of understanding for progression onto level 3 courses in related subjects, whilst also supporting progression into a health and social care work environment at level 2.
Course Details
Students will study and be internally assessed on the following units across the year:
- Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
- Human growth and development
- Safeguarding and protection in health and social care
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Learners must pass the unit assessments for the 3 mandatory units that will be marked and assessed internally and externally.
Entry requirements
In GCSE English Language and Maths, a minimum of a grade 3 in one and a grade 2 in the other plus some GCSEs at grades 3 or 4
