Course Summary

Health and Social Care is a varied and exciting course which includes a mixture of classroom-based lessons, group work, practical sessions, group and individual visits, and the chance for independent study. If you are studying the Double or the Triple, you will also undertake a work experience placement in a Health and Social Care setting to expand your skills and knowledge and put your learning into practice.

This is a thought-provoking subject which covers protecting vulnerable people, treating service users with dignity and respect, and examining the psychological and sociological perspective of health and social care. You will develop transferable skills throughout the course as you learn to both manage your own work and perform effectively as part of a team. Your critical thinking and analysis will also improve as you research and produce your coursework.
