Course Summary
This course is the equivalent of two A Levels and introduces students to a variety of topics within the Health and Social Care sector and facilitates access to a range of higher education courses. Additionally, this course will support occupational progression into a wide range of health and social care contexts as students complete at least 100 hours of work experience. Students learn to apply their classroom-based learning into practice within a range of health and social care settings.

The double is equivalent to two A Levels. Units of study include:
- Human Lifespan Development
- Working in Health and Social Care
- Current Research in Health and Social Care
- Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs
- Principles of Safe Practice in Health and Social Care
- Promoting Public Health
- Psychological Perspectives
- Sociological Perspectives
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment will involve coursework, controlled assessments and written exams.
