Next of Kin details - please add parent/guardian contact details including email address.
Predicted grades โ please include a full list of all your predicted grades.

If you decide you would like to change your course choices, there is no need to submit a new application. You can discuss and change your choices at your interview.
You only need to attend one interview, even if you would like to change your course choices or are interested in studying multiple courses.

Course Summary
Public Services is a vibrant vocational course which has both practical and theoretical elements. The qualification will provide a good foundation to progress to Level 3 can lead to many careers within the public sector such as the police service, fire service, immigration service, probation service, military and many more.
Course Details
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
You will study a variety of exciting and energetic units including, public service skills, employment and adventurous activities in a public service context. You will discover what people in uniformed services do in their job roles, and how they work and interact with each other. You will investigate cultural issues affecting public services such as equality and diversity and consider their impact in your local community. You will explore academic and fitness entry requirements for public services to prepare for employment. While developing your teamwork and leadership skills through team activities.

EXPERIENCES
This course will provide you with many opportunities to engage with public services and the local community. There will be visits from industry professionals, such as police, fire service, border force, immigration service, military as well as visits to outdoor activity centres to do activities such as bouldering, go-karting, paintballing, water assault course, developing your teamwork skills and resilience. You will also be able to get involved with our Upskilling Programme, which will offer many different activities to enrich your learning and help you to grow your skills.
Students who complete a qualification in Public Services can use skills and knowledge gained in this course to gain employment into the public service sector. Or progress to complete a degree in an area like Professional Policing, Sport, Criminology, Law, Paramedic Science.
