Course Summary
Welcome to Bay Learning Academy.
We are a nurturing and inclusive education provider for 14-19 year olds.
We offer part-time placements that can complement a learner's mainstream school/college education or as part of an independent pathway.
Course Details
We have part time placements studying any or a mix of the following qualifications:
- English - Functional Skills
- Maths - Functional Skills
- BTEC Applied Science
- BTEC Health & Social Care
- BTEC Art & Design
- BTEC Caring for Children
- BTEC Hospitality & Tourism
- BTEC Sport
- Level 1 Employability
How will it be delivered and assessed?
We are compassionate and trauma-informed. Our flexible and responsive curriculum, warm and safe environment is designed to help learners feel that they belong.
All our qualifications are internally assessed (coursework), this includes English and Maths qualifications.
Our learner to staff ratio is 3:1 and we have no more than 17 learners onsite at any one time.
We will support learners to move on to Apprenticeships, Study Programmes or Further Education as part of our Preparation for Adulthood (PSHE & careers) curriculum.
Entry requirements
Learners aged 14 - 16 years there are no entry requirements.
Learners 16 years + (post 16) require an EHCP
