Course Summary
We are delighted to announce that the Business Administration Level 2 apprenticeship is back!! The new apprenticeship will be known as the Administration Assistant Apprenticeship - Level 2 standard and will be available to young people as they leave school and college later this summer.
The Administration Assistant Apprenticeship Standard will normally take a minimum of twelve months to complete and is designed to provide the key skills needed by young people who want to work in an office setting. The apprenticeship will offer you practical, hands-on experience whilst building your confidence in the workplace.
Course Details
As an Assistant Administrator, you will be an integral part of the team and responsible for a number of tasks within the organisation. Various roles will be available to you which will include, for example, Business Support, Receptionist, Administrative Clerk, Secretary and Admin Assistant.
You will be given the opportunity to develop various skills, which you can use as you develop your career and these will include communication skills, policies and procedures, the use of software packages, updating office databases and sending out mailshots.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Training is undertaken in a number of ways, in order to meet the needs of the learner and employer. This can be done by attending class sessions in our local training centres (Hull, Grimsby or Scunthorpe) or using an online platform.
In addition all sessions are available via our online platform should you miss any. You will also have meetings with assessors every month to undertake assessments and reviews.

Entry requirements
GCSE Maths and English grade 4/C or equivalent are preferred, However, if you do not have these grades then you can still apply and we can help you to gain Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English.

A key part of this Apprenticeship is working with an employer. If you are looking for an accounts/finance role, we can find the right employer for you and deliver this Apprenticeship alongside it. On successful completion of the Level 2 Administration Assistant Apprenticeship, you can also progress on to a higher-level Apprenticeship such as, for example, the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, or Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship.
