Course Summary

In Sociology, we explore how the world works and what to do about it. We look at wider social issues and how they impact you. We aim to answer questions such as:
Does our class, our gender or our race affect our decisions, or do we have free will?
Are we becoming less religious as a society?
Why is 93% of our prison population male?
What are the social issues facing our area and how can we fix them?

The type of person who will enjoy Sociology will be someone who has an enquiring and critical mind and enjoys being challenged by new ideas.
