How will it be delivered?
The course is taught through a blend of teacher-led lessons, independent study, and problem-solving practice. Students use mathematical modelling, technology (such as graphing software), and exam-style tasks to build fluency and confidence. Regular assessments, feedback, and support sessions ensure progress is closely monitored throughout the course.
Assessment
Assessment is entirely by examination at the end of Year 13:
Paper 1: Pure Mathematics 1 (2 hours)
Paper 2: Pure Mathematics 2 (2 hours)
Paper 3: Statistics and Mechanics (2 hours)
Each paper is equally weighted and contributes one-third of the overall grade. Calculators are permitted in all papers.
