Course Summary
A level Graphic Communication allows you to develop an exciting and extensive range of creative and technical skills. You will also gain a strong understanding of historic and contemporary Graphics practice, through supporting contextual studies.
Unique to studying Graphic Communication at A Level, you build up a very personal and continually evolving body of practical work, guided and supported by your teachers. Individual exploration and development of your personal skills and creative directions is a special aspect of this subject.
Course Details
Students are required to work in one or more area(s) of graphic communication, such as those listed below. They may explore overlapping areas and combinations of areas:
- interactive media (including web, app and game design)
- advertising
- packaging design
- design for print
- illustration
- communication graphics
- branding
- multimedia
- motion graphics
- design for film and television.
Entry requirements
5 GCSE Grades 4-9 including English (Grade 4+) and Maths (Grade 4+). Grade 6 or higher in Art & Design or associated subject
