Course Summary
The Vulcan Centre is a charity organisation. It started as a boxing club in 2012 in a small industrial unit and was established by an ex-Probation Officer, a teacher, and a Youth Worker.
The aim of the boxing club was to increase the uptake of boxing in the area, improve general fitness and to promote the value of discipline and respect amongst local children and young people.
In 2013, the Club moved to its current premises in the Hull Fish Trade building, where it has since flourished.
The centre now offers education courses, apprenticeships, work placements, vocational training, youth projects, mentoring, help with housing and a safe space in which to enjoy sports, recreational and social activities.
