Course Summary

This apprenticeship is suitable for staff working in one or more supply chain functions with responsibility for providing a planning function; i.e. forecasting customer demand, liaising with the factories schedule production, processing orders or working with hauliers/distribution centres.

Course Details

Knowledge units: End-to-end characteristics and processes of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supply chain Critical supply chain KPI's Key legislation, policies and procedures IT systems The principles of capacity planning Procurement: the principles of buying Plan manufacture Logistics Customer service Skills units: Prioritise the flow of FMCG products Lead and participate in problem solving Use continuous improvement techniques Lead and participate in problem solving Manipulate and interpret changing data Use IT systems Complete supply chain documentation Develop and manage a small project plan Identify, manage and escalate risks to the business Communication Behaviours and Attitude: Safe working Responsive to change Pride in work Have courage/conviction in their decisions Act in aligment with the business vision Builds good relationships with others Tenacious approach to problem solving Effective communicator

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessed through three stages: On Programme- including off the job training and assessment Gateway Assessment –Discussion between employer and provider to agree if learner is ready for end assessment End Point Assessment- made up of 4 elements: Knowledge test Structured interview Assessment of portfolio of evidence Professional discussion relating to CPD activity
