Course Summary
A broad introduction to vehicle technology and motorsports engineering, to prepare you for work or further study.
Course Details
You will work on a variety of vehicles and learn about many aspects of vehicle technology. Course modules include health and safety, light vehicle maintenance, removing and refitting components, engine system principles, layout and operation of vehicle systems and the maintenance of wheels, tyres, steering and suspension systems.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Courses are a mixture of theory and practical work.
Assessment: Ongoing assessments.
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above to include two from English, Maths and Science, with at least a grade 2 in the remaining subject. Alternatively, a suitable Level 1 vocational qualification with English and Maths at Level 1.
