Course Summary

The typical learner for this qualification will be 19 years or over working in industry and will hold a level three automotive technical qualification and/or an advanced apprenticeship. They will have experience of diagnosing and rectifying faults on a wide range of vehicle systems, including electrical system operations

Management principles

Advanced vehicle technologies, including alternative fuel vehicles

Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers on technical matters

Providing colleagues with technical advice and support and undertaking diagnostic consultations with customers

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed by a range of techniques to include observation of practical activities in workshops, oral questioning, written reports and online testing.

Entry requirements

Level Three Certificate/Diploma in Motor Vehicle/Motorcycle or Marine Maintenance and Repair Principles or equivalent qualification with suitable trade experience, with transferable occupational skills.
