Level 2 Performing and Production Arts (Award / Diploma)

The Level 2 Diploma in Performing & Production Arts has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of performing and production arts subjects, including acting, singing, dancing, musical theatre, lighting design, prop design, stage management, directing and others. The qualification has been designed for students who have an interest in the performing and production arts, often a specific discipline such as acting or lighting design, who wish to explore and extend this interest via a full-time, immersive learning experience. Many students will have identified a specific career in the creative industries that they wish to progress to (eg production manager, stage manager, dancer etc), using this qualification as a starting point.

This course is assessed through practical activities and written coursework depending on the subject matter. Coursework and practical assessments are based on realistic workplace situations and live assignments where appropriate.

• Four GCSEs grade D/3 or above to include English
• Or level one diploma
• Or introductory diploma
• Or NVQ level one
• Or equivalent

You could progress on to the RSL Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Creative and Performing Arts.
