Course Summary

The ever-increasing popularity of hybrid vehicles means it is essential for the motor vehicle professional to develop their knowledge of their critical safety and technological features and the hazards they present, which are different to traditional vehicles. East Riding College is now offering courses on hybrid electric vehicles which were developed by the IMI, in consultation with Honda, Toyota and BMW. This is a two unit qualification for those technicians who actually work on the hybrid system and therefore require detailed knowledge of the system and the potential dangers when working on the high voltage system. It contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely in and around the vehicle's hybrid system.
