These fees relate to 2022/2023 Tuition fee: £1,400.00 PLUS student membership fee paid directly to the CIPD. Students must have registered and paid for student membership to start the course. Membership fees are available on the CIPD website. You are liable for the full cost of the course if you decide to withdraw two weeks or more after the start date. Funding may be available towards the cost of the course (not CIPD membership) depending on eligibility. Course Summary

This course will allow you to gain a firm foundation in all aspects of Human Resource Practice and will help you to develop practical, relevant skills, and give you the confidence to be more effective at work. This qualification is particularly suitable for adult learners who are undertaking human resources management or personnel functions, and also for line managers who wish to develop their people skills.


Course Details

The CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice covers the following topics:

• Business, culture and change in context

• Principles of analytics

• Core behaviours for people professionals

• Essentials of people practice


How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course is continuously assessed; there is no end examination. Successful completion of all assignment and class-based work will result in achieving the Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice.

Entry requirements

English and Maths at Level 2 (Level 2 FS or GCSE Grade C or above / 4 or above).

Where the applicant does not meet the course entry requirements - Level 2 or GCSE qualification at grade C/4 or above in maths and/or English, entry will be considered based on previous achievements.


Your next steps...

This qualification prepares you for the CIPD Level 5 and 7 courses. However, progression is not automatic as it depends upon the policy of the higher education establishment you wish to attend.


This qualification provides a starting point towards professional status and will enhance your career prospects whether you are already working in personnel or looking to move into this area.

The course will allow you to progress onto the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management at Wakefield College or other providers.
