The Youth Employment Initiative project at Hull Training and Adult Education offers bespoke support within a timescale to suit the individual's needs. We offer immediate starts with a rolling programme across a number of sites.
We offer a supportive and nurturing environment to ensure you are able to overcome any barriers to education, employment or training that you may face, alongside a flexible process to identify and apply for suitable career, training and further and higher education options. We offer a mix of blended learning opportunities, including studying both online and on site and experienced tutors will build confidence and skills.
We will also help you to secure a meaningful work experience within your chosen occupational sector.

Course Details
Our project is ideal for anyone who is currently out of the job market or education. The project will provide you with support and strategies to build your confidence, self-esteem and resilience and will provide you with techniques for overcoming everyday challenges.
In addition we run short courses in the following areas in which participants can enrol:
An introduction to Child Psychology
Personal Growth and Development
CSCS card and Health and Safety
Mental Health Awareness
General Life skills
Retail and Customer Services
Digital photography
Functional skills qualifications in Maths and English
Alongside this, the project aims to provide you with the skills and experience needed to get into work or further study.
You will:
•Create an amazing CV
•Know how to use a range of sources to search for jobs or courses
•Understand what it takes to impress at a job interview
•Be digital savvy and able to maximise social media platforms to raise your profile
•Make positive life choices
•Gain work experience within a variety of sectors.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
It is going to be delivered from September using a blended approach, a mix of online and classroom delivery.
