If you are employed in the fabrication and welding field of engineering or wish to seek employment in this area, this flexible course will help you to develop your skills.

Course Details

You will study units from the EAL Diploma Engineering Operations (Skills) at Level 2.

You will study general topics such as engineering drawing, materials and health and safety. As a fabrication and welding specialist, you will also study welding techniques, gas cutting, sheet metal and thick plate. Other optional units are available for work-based candidates.


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Continuous assessment of both theory and practical work.

Entry requirements

GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at grade A*-D.

A keen interest in engineering is essential.
