Course Summary
Cybersecurity involves everyone and every entity — from you and your neighbours to organizations and companies to governments. It is a fundamental necessity, and in this introduction to cybersecurity course, you’ll learn how to protect yourself and others from online attacks. This is a great starting point for anyone interested in learning cybersecurity but not sure where to start.
Course Details
This single unit qualification is designed for learners to learn about cybercrime. They will understand routine protective methods used to maintain cybersecurity including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control.
Areas covered include:
• Security protection and risk management
• Current and evolving threats
• Legal and ethical requirements
• Ethical hacking and penetration testing
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed through a portfolio of work that you generate as you progress through the course.
