Course Summary

This qualification is designed to increase learners’ awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects. By completing the qualification, learners will develop in-depth knowledge of behaviour that challenges which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care sector. It could be useful to learners working in education settings.

Course Details

The student will learn through the support of relevant materials for the course, with a knowledgeable tutor providing advice and guidance on the course content.

This course is split into two workbooks:

Workbook 1 units:

Understanding behaviour that challenges

Understand how to support positive behaviour

Workbook 2 units:

Understand the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges

Understand the role of reflection and support for those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course is delivered via distance learning, supported by online flipbooks. Work is assessed by the tutor throughout the course from induction to completion.

No specific entry requirements, however good written English is desirable.
